Dry Fern turns a small botanical detail into something almost sculptural.
The frond curves diagonally through a dark, softly rendered background, its repeated leaflets folding and curling around the stem. In black and white, the structure becomes more important than its natural colour. Repetition, line and texture take over.
This is landscape viewed at close range. There is no horizon and almost no context—only the form that made me stop. The photograph is a reminder that a landscape does not always need distance. Sometimes it exists within a few centimetres.
