Most of this photograph is sky.

A single dark cloud hangs above Lake Macquarie, its rim cut out by sunlight while rays spread from behind it. Far below, the mothballed power station is reduced to two small vertical marks along the distant shoreline.

I like that imbalance of scale. The industrial structure is present, but the light almost removes its importance. What might have become a photograph of a power station instead became a photograph about a cloud, a hidden sun and the vast amount of space around them.
