This is one of the more densely layered photographs in Liquid Light.
Blue pushes in from the right while amber, brown and violet overlap through the centre. Smaller traces of light appear and disappear within the movement, so the photograph rewards looking at the surface rather than searching for the original shoreline.
It is less graphic than #40 or #41 and more painterly. That difference is why I would retain it in the sequence.
