The photograph is spare: sky, a narrow horizon and the clear shallows of Pelican Lagoon. Near the end of nine weeks on Kangaroo Island, this was one of those pictures that did not need much complication. What interested me was the small shift of colour and the amount of space around it.
Sometimes staying with a place leads to increasingly complex photographs. Sometimes it allows the simple ones to remain simple.
