'Leaving' encompasses vital elements of my creative process: ocean, shoreline, horizon and the light moods that shape them.

It references my lifelong devotion to horizon daydreaming. Finding places where I can tune out and gaze into the future, fueled by memories and ideas for photographs I have yet to create.

This defocussed form represents my eyesight during a lengthy recovery from eye surgery as I waited for details to return, unsure if my eyes would heal.
