The grass has become a series of broad, sweeping movements. Pale light enters from one side while blue, turquoise, green and gold gather and cross through the centre of the frame. There are enough recognisable stems to suggest where the photograph began, but movement keeps pulling them away from literal description.
What interests me is that uncertain point between recognising the subject and simply responding to colour, direction and light. The grass remains there, but the camera has allowed me to see something in it that my eye alone could not hold still.
