Kata Tjuta extends across the frame as a sequence of enormous rounded forms.

The panoramic format allows the eye to travel from one dome to another while late light strikes their upper surfaces and leaves deep valleys in shadow. Pale grasses create a quiet horizontal foreground beneath an intensely blue Central Australian sky.

What interested me was not a single dominant peak but the rhythm created by the group— the landscape rising, falling and rising again.

The changing light gives these immense forms a sense of movement. Stone becomes shape, shadow and repetition stretching across the horizon.
