colour fine art photography
Creating a memorable fine art print in colour is hard work. Colourful scenes are pretty, bright, even awesome, but they can also be obvious. Finding a worthwhile photograph in the face of such eye candy requires patience and timing.
Colour is often impetuous. It is easy to be overwhelmed by it, merely taking a picture and missing the photograph. I strive to make colour pictures worthy of a fine art print. A print that celebrates colour with design, composition, nuance, depth and, most importantly, mood.
My prints are made to archival standards by myself or my trusted, expert printer. They are sized to suit the original film scan or digital capture for optimal viewing. I carefully match the files' technical qualities to the mood and nuance of the original scene.
Larger prints boldly dominate a wall while smaller ones are perfect for mantles, shelves or compact spaces. You can find out more about the process here.
The galleries are organised by edition size and price point. Beginning with the very affordable 25 edition collections through the limited 12 edition sets to the very exclusive 5 edition series. You can also type a keyword or descriptive phrase into the search engine - you’ll be surprised by what you find.
